Dr. Olecia Christie is a communications executive, certified life coach and change management professional, school board director, and consultant.
Olecia got her start in business communications as a marketing coordinator for Comcast. She later landed a similar role at Citrix, where she led the marketing activities for the company’s largest area resellers and managed a million-dollar co-op budget. While at Citrix, she explored her passion for internal communications, landing a communications and engagement program manager role. That leadership role launched her into several other program and people leadership roles, including roles at Stanley, Black and Decker, USAA, Amazon, LinkedIn, and currently as the associate vice president of Employee Communications and Chief Diversity Officer at Banner Health. Olecia led the communication strategy for global programs and events like Amazon Web Service’s largest internal sales kickoff event and a similar program for LinkedIn’s Global Business Organization.
In 2023, Olecia completed her Doctorate of Strategic Communication from Regent University. Her published dissertation explores the value of immigrant diversity in corporate America, a topic close to her heart. As the founder and creative director of Optix Communications, Olecia coaches clients in several industries. As a former English teacher, she is passionate about education and is a Board member of the Great Hearts Academies Texas Chapter.
Olecia counts her family among her greatest accomplishments. She’s married to Howard Christie with their two boys, Jaiden and Jax.
